Although this is a book one, there is no major cliffhanger.

Ok let's start with I'm a huge fan of CM Owens! Read Hooked on the Game as a freebie and was hooked by her writing style- read Daughter of Aphrodite trilogy - Deadly Beauties trilogy- Cursed trilogy-Gifts trilogy-Faders trilogy - salivating over all the Sterling Shore books like everyone else....so excited to pick up with Deadly Beauties again and whoop...dropped on butt by the short length of this book. I love how the Sterling Shore books are all separate character books but I LOvED how the other trilogies were a consistent couple story and I just felt like this book wasn't enough of Gage and Kimber's story for as much as Gage was a huge part of the original Deadly beauties. I'm assuming she is going to continue writing all her future book sets like this (as separate character stories) rather than the past collective couple stories but I'm nostalgic for the latter. The storyline was kick-ass as usual but ended too abruptly as I know we are just going to head into another couple's story and that would be fine if that's how this series has started out... But it's GAGE'S story cmon he was so pivotal to the original plot I felt like he should get more book time lol! The original Deadly Beauties was honestly the only love triangle story I've ever read where I wasn't totally on board with the main "guy" (Kane) who was "the destined one" for the gal - I was rooting for Gage! Alas, this was a bit of a letdown in length and content of a major character for me but of course was a fabulous addition to the Deadly Beauties stories.Product details

Warp speed reading
I am warp speed reading this series and it's absolutely awesome. Not much of a fan for paranormal books, but this is exception. Totally enjoyed it. I will not spoil it for other readers, and I don't have any bad comments anyway. Just read the books. Start at the beggining. Enjoy the flight.
I was sad this book ended!! Can't wait for the next. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was it wasn't as exciting as the last three and had a couple spots where the wording was off, but that was minor. This author always puts a refreshing soon on things! The books keep you begging for more and creates characters you can't help but love even if you hate them. If you haven't read the first three in the series grab them first!! The defiantly are worth the read and all build in eachother
This was such a good book. We finally get to know who Gage is and he finally gets his happy ending. I felt horrible for him in the 3 rd book but u can't use love spells or mess with destiny. I was almost rooting for a 3 way lol I loved Dark boy so much and to pair him up with someone who can hold her own and doesn't have an ex lover is wonderful. Im so happy this series in continuing I love all of the inner circle so much!!!! Thad's story is going to be great
Having read the deadly beauties series, I was happy to spend more time with the characters. Really liked Gage from the previous books and was happy for him to get his HEA! The book had a nice storyline with suspense and action and was well paced. The main characters are well mapped out. And there are some hot sex scenes that spice up the lovely romance between the heros. What's a big plus for me (as opposed to the deadly beauties series) is that the characters are more mature and grown up. Looking forward to read Thad's story.
It's been a while since I've read a paranormal romance that captivated me with its uniqueness, and boy this one sure did. I love kick ass heroines and alpha males with a dash of vulnerability and uber hot and I got all of this and more...Gage is a total bad ass and Kimber is one heroine who isn't afraid to fight for her guy...4.5 stars is my rating now let's look at the next book in this series...
I have been a fan since my first read of deadly beauties and I am so grateful that she has started this series back up. I loved seeing things through Gage's eyes. To be honest I wasn't his biggest fan when deadly beauties ended but this book has given me a new outlook on him I love him in this book and his relationship with Kimber . I enjoyed learning all of his secret and truly getting an idea of how deep of an immortal he is. I love how everything flowed and how everyone's secrets kind of came together . I also love that former characters played a huge part in this book as well they didn't just show up for a few chapters or two they were present throughout the whole entire book which I appreciate . I cannot wait until the next book comes out I'm really looking forward to it .
I think I found new obsessive series. I barely finished reading and I need to start next book ASAP.
I have love/hate relationship with Gabe. I love how protective he is. I even love his dark side, that wicked dark smirk of his. But he also irritated me. That protectiveness had another side, were Kimber was concerned. He was overprotective with her. And that of course lead to making a mistake. Which could have had irreversible heartbreaking consequences, if not for loyal friends help.
The end was... Well, though 'good guys' won it's not the end. Because there's some unanswered questions and let's not forget that the war just begun.
